Agha Muhammad Bidabaadi

Agha Muhammad, great philosopher, literary man and scholar, born in Esfahan –Iran. Bidabaadi studied philosophy and other sciences in the presence of great scholars in Esfahan, then started teaching the Quran and intellectual and transmitted sciences. He also taught peripatetic philosophy (philosophy of Aristotle), philosophy of illumination and philosophy of mullah Sadra (Iranian philosopher). Most of his works are some letters which have been written to his students especially on "travelling and wayfaring" (Sufism term; meaning travelling towards God by doing some actions). Bidabaadi died in 1783 in Esfahan, his tomb is a place of pilgrimage.
