Abu Umar Abdul Rahman Ibn Amr Awzaee

Abu Umar, celebrated jurisconsult and ascetic in Umayyad era; (706/717 – 774) in Baalbek (small town in inland Lebanon). It is said that he answered 80000 religious questions. Abu Umar was the most learned person in Syria. His mausoleum in Beirut is a place of pilgrimage.
