Batn al-Aqaba

Batn al-Aqaba is the name of a place in the middle of Mecca to Kufa-Iraq. It is also known as “Batn al-Aqiq” by some historians. Batn al-Aqaba is one of the lodging of Hossein Ibn Ali’s caravan. Based on traditions and historians, it was said by Imam Sadeq that Imam Hossein (p.b.u.h) said to his companions: “I see myself killed and I will be killed” (according to his dream). The companions asked him how? The Imam answered: “I dreamt that some dogs rent me, the worst dog was a the one which had leprosy. The dog in Imam Hossein’s dream was “Shemr” (curse upon him) and Imam beheaded and was martyred by him.
