Bukht al-Nasr, one of the greatest kings of ancient Babel who ruled from 562 – 604. His name is Hebrew which means the son of the idol Nasr. Bukht (means son) and Nasr (name of an idol). It is said that he was found near the idol when was a little child. In 612, married the daughter of “Huwakhshatara” (the Mades king). In 605 fought against the pharaoh of Egypt, defeated him and ruled over Egyptian possessions. Also many people of Jeusalem were taken captive by him. During his reign, Bukht al-Nasr attacked Jerusalem for three times and the ####people were taken captive and sent to Babel. He then appointed a person called “Sedqia” as the governor of Jerusalem. Bukht al-Nasr was a cruel and stone-hearted king, he killed the Jewish priests and magicians who could not interprete his dreams! He became mad at the end of his life, imagined himself as a cow and lived in a hungle for a long time, during this time his wife ruled.
