Eventually they were suppressed by Fazl Ibn Rabi’ and he himself became the vizier of Harun. After the death of Harun al-Rashid, Fazl remained the vizier of Amin (son of Harun). Therefore Ma’mun sent his army to Baghdad, the commander of Amin was killed. As a result Amin’s rule became weakened and Ma’mun led a powerful government.
