Abul Fotuh Najm al-Din Ahmad Ibn Muhammad, known as Ibn al-Salah, Iraqi author of a standard work on the sciences of Tradition (1181 – 1245). There is not left much information on his life. He studied in the presence of Abul Hakam Maqrebi. Ibn al-Salah wrote a gloss on “the Book of Healing” (written by Avicenna).
